I am Genevieve Cheung.
Before sharing my work and my life with you, I want to say this first: I am a proud mother of two wonderful children. They are now adults, and they remain my inspiration, my hope for future generations, and my eternal love, deeply rooted in my soul.

I was born in China, raised in Hong Kong, studied in Australia, and lived in Italy for over thirty years. My life has unfolded across cultures, languages, and inner landscapes, shaping how I think, write, and observe the world. Over the last three years, I have travelled extensively across America in search of my true self, and in an attempt to understand what “life” really means for each of us.

At the center of my work is writing. Writing has always been how I make sense of experience — how I listen, question, and stay in dialogue with life. Over time, this has expanded into essays, books, long-form conversations, and quiet reflections shared online.

Alongside writing, I have spent many years studying philosophy and symbolic systems of meaning, particularly Tao and Zen traditions, as well as Eastern and Western astrology. I approach astrology not as a belief system or a tool for prediction, but as a language of time — a way to understand cycles, patterns, and the relationship between individual lives and larger rhythms.

My interests have never been purely intellectual. They have always lived. In recent years, this has led me away from abstraction and toward place-based living. I am now building a slower, more grounded life in Vinci, Tuscany — learning again how to live in rhythm with the land, the seasons, and daily work. Marilyn has become an important member of my family; seeing her running freely is the pure joy of everyday life.

Rooted Deep in the Language of Time

Some of my earlier work was rooted more explicitly in spiritual language and esoteric study. That period remains an important part of my history. Today, however, my focus is quieter and more embodied: how to fully embrace life with grace — how we care for ourselves, for each other, and for the places we inhabit.

This website gathers what emerges from that life: writing, videos, conversations, and reflections. Nothing here is meant to instruct or convince. It is simply shared — openly, thoughtfully, and without urgency.

If you’re here, you’re welcome to read, listen, or leave with whatever stays with you.
